The APRM Commission of Benin was established in 2008 and consists of 12 members. Its head is a former banker. The goal of the commission is the transparent undertaking of the APRM processes on the basis of educating the public and guiding and monitoring an effective implementation of its national plan of action. The Hanns-Seidel-Foundation has worked with the APRM commission on the creation of the 77 sub-commissions and on educating the public about the APRM mechanism. One of its key tasks is now is to facilitate discussions between the commission, sub-commissions and representatives of the public.

The ABDC was founded in 2006. It is a network of political scientists, lawyers and further interest groups of state law and constitutional themes. The Hanns-Seidel-Foundation works together with the ABDC on the organisation of regional exchanges between West African Constitutional and Supreme Courts.

The Constitutional Court of Benin is the highest court of jurisdiction in constitutional matters. The Hanns-Seidel-Foundation works with the Constitutional Court of Benin in establishing a platform for regional exchange with its experts and members of five further Constitutional and Supreme Courts of West African countries.

The CECEDD was created in 2005. Its goal is to promote democracy and rural development through political and societal education for the entire population. Together with the Hanns-Seidel-Foundation, it is undertaking capacity building for district and community councils to promote efficient working processes and a more active fight against corruption.

The UFADD was founded in 2000 and is an association of about 1,000 women. Its goal is to strengthen the skills and role of women living in the area around Abomey. Women are trained to be capable of undertaking a more active role in society and understand the obligations of such active citizens. As a part of this, UFADD is undertaking workshops about socio-political themes as well as revenue-generating activities, especially in the area of microcredit. The Hanns-Seidel-Foundation works with the UFADD on trainings of various socio-political subject areas, such as civic education and economic issues for women and, sometimes, their husbands.
